Volunteer: Readers Needed

The YMCA has the privilege of fostering the summer academic and enrichment learning of 150 students this summer. Through the SPARK summer camp program, local students who are at the most risk to fall behind academically are provided an all-day program of field trips, friendships, learning, and creativity completely free-of-charge.

Every morning of camp between 8:15-8:30 am, we have community leaders read to our students. Are you interested in sharing your love of reading with local students in this way? You could share your favorite book, or we could select something for you.
