The Member Services Representative is the face of the YMCA. The Member Services Desk is in the lobby of the Y, which means that this position provides the first welcome that members and visitors receive and sets the tone for a visit.
A Member Services Representative must demonstrate a personal commitment to the mission of the YMCA and be able to work effectively with a team.
This position requires good organizational skills, strong human relations skills, general knowledge of business procedures, good communication skills (verbal and written), willingness to adapt to change, and knowledge about YMCA operational procedures and programs.
This person must have a working knowledge of operating computers, must be dressed in uniform, be friendly, and exhibit good health habits. The ability to establish and maintain harmonious relationships with staff, volunteers, members and the community is essential.
