Indiana Stars Swim Club

Wabash County YMCA

The Wabash Stars Swimming Club, led by Coach Joshua Blossom, prepares swimmers in Kindergarten - 12th grade to compete in the world of swimming.

Coach Blossom works to improve swimmers' skill level, endurance and discipline, promote a healthy lifestyle, and build self-confidence at an individual level. Swimmers get the opportunity to participate in meets and learn life skills like teamwork, responsibility, and safety around water while making new friends and being active.

Assessments are used to determine a swimmer’s ability to be on the club team. Coaches may recommend some swimmers continue to take swim lessons if their swimming ability lacks stamina and correct stroke mechanics. Our goal is to have all swimmers enjoy their swimming experience, which is best met by placing them at an appropriate level where they can thrive and learn.
