Calling all soon-to-be Lifeguards!
The Wabash County YMCA is holding a Lifeguard Certification Course. You must attend all days to be certified.
During this American Red Cross certification class course, the candidate will become a lifeguard by gaining the necessary skills needed to recognize, prevent and respond to aquatic emergencies. The course certifications include Lifeguard/First-Aid/CPR/AED and Oxygen Administration for Professional Rescuer (valid 2 years). At this time, participants will receive an email with the blended learning course link. All online coursework must be completed prior to the first day of the in-class skills sessions. Upon course completion, participants are required to have passed all prerequisites, course test out skills, and give a current email address to process records with the American Red Cross. If certification requirements are not met, certification will not be awarded and no refund will be given.
