TOGETHERHOOD®
We would love for you to consider giving back to your community by volunteering here at the YMCA.

At the YMCA, we know that your time and talents are precious, and we want every minute you spend with us to be worthwhile. We are asking you to take a few minutes to fill out this application. By doing so, it will help us begin to make the true match between your skills and interests and the opportunities available to serve.  For questions about volunteering, contact the YMCA at info@wabashcountyymca.org

You may download and print our Volunteer Application HERE and once the application is complete you may drop it off at the Y or email it to Tyler (see email above).

Join Us in Giving Back

At the Y, we’re dedicated to strengthening the community by giving back and supporting our neighbors. And we know that members like you have lots of ideas and the desire to reach out to make positive changes in our community.

Participating in the Togetherhood® program gives you the chance to activate your social responsibility by helping our neighbors receive the support they need to feel healthy, connected, and secure. Plus, contributing your time and talents for the good of others can enhance your own well-being!

There are two ways to participate:

1. JOIN THE TOGETHERHOOD® SERVICE COMMITTEE

As a member of the Service Committee, you’ll serve for a term of one year to scope and run projects that help strengthen our community.

2. BECOME A SERVICE PROJECT VOLUNTEER

Service projects are designed to make a meaningful impact while being rewarding, convenient and fun!

If you are interested in helping give back to your community, contact Tyler Karst, Director of Marketing & Special Projects | 260.563.9622 ext 407 | tkarst@wabashcountyymca.org

ANNUAL CAMPAIGN

Make an Impact

Last year the Y was able to give $425,000 in support for our families in need, scholarships for memberships, childcare and sports, recreation and swim lessons – helping more children, adults, and families than ever to learn, grow and thrive.

We are proud of this success, but our community needs more. The demand for quality childcare is on the rise. Chronic diseases like high blood pressure, diabetes, and heart disease continue to grow. The need to feel connected to your community is stronger than ever. There are so many more economically challenged individuals and families who need access to the amazing programs at the Y.

The number one reason individuals don’t make a gift to a cause is that they were never asked. That’s where we need your help! When you share your love of the Y, you open the door for new supporters to make this community stronger.

The campaign volunteer opportunity is a small-time commitment, but it makes a big impact.

  • Estimated 10 hour time commitment

  • Receive a small group of donors to connect with

  • Help make new connections

  • Enjoy being a part of an amazing group of volunteers
