Lobby

The Heart of Our YMCA

The lobby at the Wabash County YMCA is more than an entryway. It serves as a welcoming gathering space where members, families, and friends naturally come together throughout the day.

This area functions as an informal meeting spot, offering comfortable seating and a coffee corner with fresh coffee available during all open hours. Tables throughout the lobby provide a place for children to enjoy their lunches or free meals, and for families to pause and connect.

The lobby is also home to ping-pong tables, frequently used by our Parkinson’s group and other members for recreation and social connection. A small community book exchange invites members to take a book, leave a book, and share the joy of reading with others.

Whether you are stopping by for a quick conversation, enjoying a cup of coffee, or waiting for a program to begin, the lobby reflects the YMCA’s role as a hub for community connection, inclusion, and everyday moments that matter.
